Jesus Journey Speaker, Stephan Tchividjian
Stephan teaches that legacy is far more than what we leave behind—it's ultimately about who we impact and how we follow God. While things like inheritance, accomplishments, and reputation have value, they are not the core of true legacy. Instead, legacy is deeply personal and relational, beginning with the people closest to us—our family, friends, and those we do life with.
He emphasizes that God often interrupts our lives to redirect us toward His purpose. As we follow Him faithfully, we grow into true disciples, and that journey itself becomes our legacy.
Using the example of his grandfather, Billy Graham, Stephan illustrates that a powerful legacy is not built on fame or recognition, but on simple, consistent obedience to God. He describes this through the phrase “step, hold, step, hold”—a picture of walking in step with the Holy Spirit, faithfully following Jesus one step at a time.
Ultimately, Stephan reminds us that people are always watching—not just what we say, but how we live. Our character, decisions, and responses to life’s challenges shape the legacy we leave in others.
Legacy is not the “what”—it’s the “who.”
It is the people whose lives are changed because we chose to follow Jesus faithfully.
Quotes:
“Legacy is not what we leave behind, it’s who we impact.”
“A life of faithful obedience—step by step with God—is the legacy that lasts.”
“People are always watching—your character is shaping your legacy.”

Ministry Highlight, Grace Place School
Grace Place School was founded out of a deep burden to address the reality of sex trafficking and exploitation, particularly among vulnerable youth. After witnessing the issue firsthand and recognizing South Florida as a major hub for trafficking, the founder felt called by God to create a solution that would intervene before teens are pulled into these destructive paths.
Grace Place is a Christ-centered, nonprofit school specifically designed for at-risk teens ages 13 to 18 who have struggled in traditional environments—many of whom have experienced trauma, instability, or homelessness. The school intentionally serves students who have often been overlooked or pushed out elsewhere, providing a safe, structured environment focused on prevention.
Their approach emphasizes creating a sense of family, belonging, and safety, while also offering education, job skills training, mentorship, and spiritual guidance. By meeting both practical and emotional needs, Grace Place helps students discover their identity, build a future, and break cycles of exploitation, gang involvement, and poverty.
Through personal relationships and individualized attention, the ministry seeks to remind each student that their past does not define them—and that they have purpose, value, and hope in God.

Keynote Speaker, Michele Assad
Michele Assad shared that legacy begins with living life with the end in mind. For her, true legacy is not about self-promotion or worldly success, but about one day hearing Jesus say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” She emphasized that as believers, we are called to live not just for this life, but for eternity, allowing that perspective to shape our priorities, decisions, and purpose.
She reflected on her own journey of faith, describing how God led her step by step, often without giving her the full picture in advance. From early mission trips and a growing passion for the Middle East, to a surprising career in the CIA alongside her husband, Michele showed how God uniquely prepares and positions each person for the mission He has for them. Her story highlighted that purpose is often discovered through trust, obedience, and the courage to keep moving even when the path is unclear.
Michele also tied in the theme of her book, Get Off the X, explaining that just as survival in dangerous situations requires movement, so does walking with God. Rather than freezing in fear or uncertainty, we must continue forward in faith, trusting that God will open the right doors in His perfect timing.
Ultimately, she reminded the audience that legacy is built by loving God first and loving others well. Through powerful stories—both from her own life and from the life of missionary Lillian Trasher—she showed that a meaningful legacy is one that pours into people, sacrifices for God’s calling, and impacts generations for Christ.
Quotes:
“Begin with the end in mind—live for the moment you hear, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.’”
“We’re not called to live for this life alone, but for what comes next—and that eternal perspective should shape every decision we make.”
“Legacy isn’t about building a life for yourself—it’s about loving God first and impacting people in a way that lasts beyond you.”

Case Study, Rob Kornahrens
Rob Kornahrens shared how he built his company from humble beginnings into a successful business, guided by strong values and a commitment to his team.
The key decision in his story was whether to sell the company to private equity for a higher financial return or transition ownership to his employees through an ESOP. Although the sale would have brought more money, he chose the ESOP to honor his employees, preserve the company’s culture, and create a lasting impact.
His decision was deeply influenced by his growing faith and desire to give back. Through both his business and personal generosity, Rob demonstrated that true legacy is about people—not profit—and the impact you make along the way.
